A 22-year-old wanted by Italian justice for drug trafficking has been arrested in Mirdita.

The 22-year-old is accused of being a member of a criminal group in the field of drug trafficking.

"During the checks carried out in an apartment in Rrëshen, the officers have captured and provisionally arrested for the purpose of extradition, a 22-year-old GJ citizen, a resident of Mirdita, announced as an international wanted person after the Court of Preliminary Investigations in Milan, Italy, by decision criminal order of 03.11.2023, assigned to him the security measure of "prison arrest", accused of the criminal offenses "Criminal Organization" and "Trafficking of narcotics carried out in cooperation", provided by the articles of the Italian Criminal Code, the police announce.
