
For the silo explosion in Lushnja, where father and son lost their lives, Leonard Gjini, the entrepreneur who would carry out the works, was accompanied.

But according to the prosecution, the works were carried out by the two victims who were not contracted.
"The citizen Leonard Gjini was asked, he explains that he has a business activity of construction and implementation of projects with concrete and iron construction on 27.11.2023 he concluded a business contract with the citizen Bujar Çela construction warehouse which was equipped with construction permit No. 200 dt 19.09.2023 The object had a value of 17963280 lek, which on 10.02.2024 was confirmed for the start of the works. He clarifies that for the event that happened there, he was not related to the employees and has no idea what works were being carried out in the facility in question, he has not sent any employees or made any subcontracts to carry out works in this facility. After the issuance of the permission to start the works, he waited for the moment when the release of the object would be ready for the start of the works", the statement says.
The 32-year-old resident of the village of Goriçaj was arrested for the criminal offense "Breach of the rules of protection at work", with serious consequences.
As a result of the explosion in the fuel silo, in the "Karbunare e Madhe" neighborhood, on March 1, 2024, an explosion occurred, which killed father and son, Roland and Elidion Hoxha, and injured 7 others who are out of danger to life.
