The two Albanians arrested by Greek authorities as suspects in the murder of 47-year-old Irakli Davella and the wounding of 46-year-old Edi Lulo alias Etmond Hysa, appeared before a court in Greece today. Both were remanded in custody by the Greek court.
The two suspects, Jenis Tulja, 44, and Mirjan Guveli, 45, denied their involvement in the December 15, 2024 incident.
They refused to give statements before the trial panel, stating that they first wanted to familiarize themselves with the evidence, especially the audio-visual evidence, which, as the defense attorneys mentioned, they have not yet received.
Specifically, in their written statement, the defense lawyers of the two defendants, Manolis Anastasakis and Spyridon Dionysiotis, state: Our clients denied the charges and then exercised their right to remain silent, because we were not provided with the written material of all the preliminary investigations and specifically all the audio-visual material which is also the dominant means of evidence. We reserve the right to an additional hearing when and if we learn these details .
