It was blown up along with the car, the latest details from the murder of Isuf

A quantity of TNT, placed in a vehicle, which is believed to have been activated by remote control, took the life of Isuf Jaçaj, a 58-year-old man from Saranda. The well-organized assassination remains a mystery, while the investigation is being conducted as a revenge plot.

The victim was in the vehicle when the explosives exploded without giving him any chance of escape. Based on the information so far, it is suspected that the explosive used was TNT, but investigations will determine the type of explosive.

Reports indicate that a group of serious crime experts from the State Police, as well as engineers, have traveled from Tirana to Saranda to assist the local police in solving the incident.

It is still unknown how much explosives were placed under the vehicle, while local police have collected security cameras to shed more light on the incident.

The main track that investigators are focusing on is that of revenge, while the victim's son, Kalus Jaçaj, was involved in a gunshot wound on July 17 in Saranda. However, the investigation will also extend into the victim's past, as it is reported that in 2011 he was the target of an assassination attempt.

The victim Isuf Jaçaj himself, who was killed on Saturday evening in the coastal city of Saranda, is said to have been involved in tourism. He transported holidaymakers by speedboat, while a year ago he was part of a protest that boat owners had organized in front of the Saranda Municipality. Just 3 months ago, the 58-year-old had attempted to kill his son, who had been involved in a gunfight.
