A 20-year-old Albanian man has been sentenced to 15 months in prison by the British authorities after 140,000 pounds were found in a house which is suspected to have been used as a bar.
The young Albanian identified as Daniel Kabali was an illegal immigrant in the United Kingdom, caught red-handed at a house in Linton Crescent, Alwoodley.
It was the young man himself who, with his paranoid behavior, convinced the police to search the house where he lived, after he had not obeyed the effective order to open the door, which led the officers to suspect that he was trying to hide something.
According to the media, the amount of money was found in a closet in the attic space. They also found other sums of money stashed around the house, as well as tools used to grow cannabis.
During his testimony before the British authorities, the 20-year-old admitted that he was in the UK illegally and owed a gang of traffickers £24,000 and had so far only managed to pay £4,000.
