A 42-year-old Albanian woman and her 52-year-old Greek husband have been sent behind bars after being caught with a large amount of drugs in Crete, Greece. The police found the amount of narcotics in the vehicle and in their apartment.
According to Cretapost's information, during the inspection, the largest amount of cannabis ever found in the region was found in their possession.
After their confession, the investigator and the prosecutor found it necessary to keep them in custody, as a result they remained behind bars from the afternoon of Wednesday, April 24. They found 10 kilograms of hashish inside the car, while they continued to check the houses and places they used in the area of the municipality of Agios Nikolaos and Ierapetra. 13 kilograms of cocaine were also seized from the operation.
In total, they found and seized:
10 kilograms and 586 grams of cannabis, 13.5 grams of cocaine. The amount of money of 23 770 euros and 50 British pounds as income from illegal activity. Also found were 4 scales, 3 cell phones, nylon packaging, hermetic sealing device, 1 revolver (replica). At the same time, the car was confiscated as a means of committing criminal offences.
