The murder of 68-year-old Frederik Radi in Lajthiza of Mirdita continues to remain unsolved.
When 10 days have passed since the serious crime, the investigations of the police and the prosecutor's office of Lezha regarding the event are at zero point. The testimony of the family members did not help the investigative group towards an investigation track, since the 68-year-old was not a problematic person or had shown problems.
Frederik Radi spent the summer months alone in his old house in Lajthiza i Mirdita, a mountain village which has been massively abandoned and very few families live there.
This has helped the perpetrators to act without worrying and leave without leaving a trace, making the work of the police and the prosecutor's office more difficult in clarifying this event.
The investigation group's suspicions are that Frederik Radi may have been killed after some conflict that may have occurred recently over property issues in the village, but this has not yet been proven, despite the fact that immediately after the incident they were escorted to the police and taken in question, a considerable number of persons, mostly residents of the village.
He was shot with a barrage of bullets, while the murder is suspected to have happened on August 18, while he was found dead by his daughter inside the old apartment in the village of Lajthizë in Mirdita on the morning of August 20.
Leonora Radi alerted the police and from the actions taken, it turned out that the 68-year-old man was shot from the window of the room where he was sleeping.
