A serious incident shook the city of Durrës last night, where a young man was shot to death.
The person identified as Ermir Dedja, 29, died in hospital from his injuries. According to police, the murder occurred under circumstances that are still unclear.
According to initial information, Dedja has been previously arrested for assault and drug trafficking. 10 years ago, in 2015, he was arrested as a suspect for selling a quantity of narcotics to two citizens from Hasi, who were going to traffic them in Kosovo.
Two years later, in 2017, he was arrested for aiding the perpetrator of an injury and for illegally possessing a knife that was found during a physical search.
"In the early hours of the morning in neighborhood no. 18 Durrës, under still unclear circumstances, citizen ED, 29 years old, was shot and died in hospital.
Police services have arrived at the scene and are combing the area and conducting checks to identify and apprehend the perpetrator(s).
"A special investigative group has been established and, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, intensive investigations are continuing to clarify the circumstances and secure evidence, with the aim of legally documenting the event, identifying and apprehending the perpetrator(s)," the police announced.
