The state police have reacted to the assassination attempt in Durrës, where 29-year-old Ermir Dedja was shot dead.
It is learned that the young man was shot with a gun in the early hours of the morning by masked individuals, in neighborhood no. 18 in Durrës.
The young man, part of a criminal group with a previous criminal record, died in hospital. The 29-year-old could not survive the injuries he sustained.
Police services have arrived at the scene and are combing the area and conducting checks to identify and apprehend the perpetrator(s).
Ermir Dedja was previously arrested for drug trafficking to Kosovo. Specifically in 2015. While in 2017 he was arrested in Durrës for collaborating with Ismail Nuredini in the injury of a young man in Shijak.
"In the early hours of the morning in neighborhood no. 18 Durrës, under still unclear circumstances, citizen ED, 29 years old, was shot and died in hospital.
Police services have arrived at the scene and are combing the area and conducting checks to identify and apprehend the perpetrator(s).
"A special investigative group has been established and, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, intensive investigations are continuing to clarify the circumstances and secure evidence, with the aim of legally documenting the event, identifying and apprehending the perpetrator(s)," the police announced.
