Today, the state police continued the anti-drug operations in several cities of Albania such as Kruja, Lezha and Mati, where several plots of cannabis were discovered.
The blue uniforms indicate that a total of 1,258 cannabis plants were found and destroyed by burning.
Thus, the growers of these plants have not yet been identified, while in Mat, 44-year-old Flamur Elezaj, who is suspected of being the author of the cultivation of narcotic plants, is wanted.
Today, the police destroyed 494 cannabis sativa plants in the villages of Kruja. The blue uniforms report that 16 parcels of narcotic plants were discovered in the villages of Brret and Picrrage as part of the operation 'Clean Territory'.
Suspected narcotic saplings and plants were destroyed by burning, except for a small portion that was seized as evidence.
The discovery of the parcels was carried out by officers of the Krujë Police Station, the Special Operational Force of the DVP Durrës and the FNSH Tirana, who carried out checks in wooded areas of the district, assisted by the use of drones.
Within the 10 phases of this mega-operation, 6,868 cannabis sativa narcotic plants were destroyed. The Krujë Police Station and the Durrës Local Police Directorate are continuing the in-depth investigative actions to identify and capture the author(s) of this criminal activity. Controls against the cultivation of narcotic plants continue throughout the territory of the district.
Also, in the tenth phase of the anti-drug operation carried out in several areas of the Lezhë district, the blue uniforms have discovered 600 cannabis plants, the growers of which have not yet been identified.
The drones have discovered several plots of cannabis in the territory of the village of Kaluer, Lezhë, where 300 cannabis plants were found cultivated on land divided into plots, as well as in the village of Gërnac, Kurbin, 300 plants were found cultivated on land in a wooded area other cannabis narcotics, which were destroyed by burning.
The Lezha Police and the Lezha Prosecutor's Office are continuing the investigative actions, with the aim of identifying and arresting the author(s) of this criminal activity.
"During the previous 9 stages of this mega-operation, in various villages of the district, a total of 14,779 narcotic plants were destroyed by burning, and 3 citizens were arrested, and 1 more was announced as wanted, suspected perpetrators of this activity. criminal", informs the police.
It is also reported by the State Blues that 164 narcotic cannabis plants were destroyed by burning in Mat. The narcotic substance was discovered in the place called "Maja e Magnola", in the village of Selicë.
The police have announced the search for Flamur Elezajn, 44 years old, a resident of Kruja, as the suspected author of the cultivation of narcotic plants, for whom the search continues, with the aim of locating and capturing him.
During the inspection of the vehicle used by this citizen, they found a sum of lek and euros, which are suspected to have benefited from criminal activity in the field of narcotics.
