
A 17-year-old was found dead in his apartment in the village of Valare in Gjirokastra today. The minor is suspected of having hanged himself in his apartment, while he was a student at the "Siri Shapllo" high school in the city of Gjirokastra.
According to the media, the case was handled by the school psychologist, who referred the case to the intersectoral group for the protection of minors in the Municipality, and it was also handled by them.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the motives and circumstances of this serious incident.

From preliminary investigations, it is suspected that the 17-year-old hanged himself in his apartment. This is the second case within two months from the same school, after on February 15 of this year, 17-year-old Irsa Muçollari, a student at the "Siri Shapllo" high school, ended her life by hanging herself in her apartment after allegedly being bullied at school. The investigation began mainly with clues, after several messages exchanged by her classmates were published on social networks, stating that the first-year student had been insulted in class by a teacher. Two students at the school also said that the 17-year-old had fallen victim to bullying, but without providing further details.
