While the 47-year-old will remain behind bars, investigators are working to legally prove other thefts the suspect may have committed.
"As a result of professional and intensive investigations, carried out in cooperation with the Durrës Prosecutor's Office, to identify and bring before criminal responsibility, the author of several thefts committed in Golem, the specialists for the investigation of crimes of the Kavajë Police Station, within the framework of "Rule of Law" mega-operation, captured and imprisoned Ben Sula, 47 years old, a resident of Rrogozhinë. The Court of Durrës has assigned the security measure "Arrest in prison" to this citizen, as the investigations showed that on 24.12.2023, he stole from 3 apartments in Golem, the sums of 30,000 Lek, 100,000 Lek, 7,000 Euro and 3,000 dollars.
As material evidence, a sum of money, 3 watches, 2 m of fire wick and other suspected stolen items were seized, as well as gloves, hoods, scissors, vehicle and clothing allegedly used by Ben Sula during the thefts. . It is being investigated to legally prove other thefts that the 47-year-old may have committed," the police said in a press release.
