The Italian police have arrested a 24-year-old Albanian citizen, with a criminal record, after two different detention orders were issued against him by the courts of La Spezia and Lucca, respectively on February 8, 2024 and March 25, 2024.
Carabinieri engaged in a territorial control service noticed a car with three people going at a suspicious speed from Via delle Cerbaie towards the motorway tollbooth.
At this moment, the carabinieri decided to continue with the control of the vehicle and persons, which initially gave a negative result.
In fact, the three people had a regular passport issued by the Albanian authorities and there was no provision or criminal record against them.
But despite this, their stay and presence in a place where they apparently had no connection, led the carabinieri to carry out further checks and in particular to better ascertain their identity, subjecting them to photo identification at the provincial headquarters of the Carabinieri of Lucca.
Precisely from the result of this last investigation, came the confirmation that something was actually wrong. The 24-year-old, with a different name, was responsible for the two detention measures given by the Office of the Investigating Judge of the above-mentioned courts at the request of the relevant Public Prosecutor's Office, after two different investigations conducted by the Kosovo Police Commissariat. La Spezia and Lucca, for a series of serious house burglaries.
