The details of the robbery of the supermarket in Lezha the day before, where a safe with nearly 3 million new lek inside was stolen. The police inform that the robbery was carried out thanks to the negligence of the security guards.
According to the blue uniforms, the owner of the supermarket had contracted a private security service, but in fact the two employees who were assigned that day to guard the supermarket neglected to raise the alarm.

Following the in-depth investigations and operational actions being carried out by the investigative structures of the Lezha Police, under the direction of the Lezha Prosecutor's Office, with the aim of clarifying the authorship and the circumstances of the burglary of the safe with the rounds of the last days, in a supermarket in the village of Ishull Lezhë, case announced around 07:30 yesterday morning, we inform you that:
The Lezhë Police Station has handcuffed the GB citizen, 47 years old, resident of the village of Balldre and the TN citizen, 55 years old, resident of Lezhë, both employees of the private service, contracted to maintain the physical security of the supermarket where the theft was committed.
From the investigations so far, it has emerged that these citizens went to verify an alarm signal at this supermarket on 28.10.2024, at 04:15. It is suspected that they did not respect the rules for the control of the object in its perimeter, as well as they did not fulfill the obligation to notify the Police. Their inaction is suspected to have favored the perpetrators of the theft, for committing the crime.
The procedural materials for the two citizens were handed over to the Prosecutor's Office of Lezha, for further investigations, for the criminal offense "Abuse of duty".
Meanwhile, intensive investigations continue to identify and prosecute the perpetrators of this theft.
