The court of Elbasan sentenced the 4 teenagers who killed their peers in Gramsh, in May 2023.
Ergi Karaj was sentenced to 12 years in prison for the criminal offense of murder under qualifying circumstances, 10 years in prison for the criminal offense of wounding and 10 years in prison for attempted murder and 5.5 years for possession of a weapon. In total, he was sentenced to 27 years in prison and with a shortened trial the Court finally decided 18 years in prison.
Orgito Çarçiu was sentenced for four criminal offenses to 21 years in prison and in a shortened trial he will serve 14 years in prison. Xonatan Çekrezi was sentenced by the court for 4 criminal offenses to 12 years in prison, in a shortened trial of 8 years.
While Steven Murati was sentenced by the court to 10 years in prison and with a shortened trial he will serve 6 years and 8 months in prison.
On May 16, 2023, Fatjon Bici was stabbed to death just a few meters from the school, in the flower garden of the city of Gramsci. The four perpetrators, aged 15 and 16, ambushed Fatjon Bici's cousin, with whom they had a conflict on social networks.
Armed with knives and fist-strengthening gloves, they attacked Fatjon's cousin, while the latter was killed, as he stepped in to protect him.
