New details have emerged from the serious incident that occurred in the early hours of Saturday, where a 44-year-old Italian man, owner of a brick factory in Tirana, was found shot to death near the village of Salari in Tepelena.
The victim, Edoardo Sarchi, was shot with a firearm, while investigations have begun into the incident, which remains shrouded in mystery, and several details have been revealed.
According to recent media reports, the police have escorted citizen Eqerem Braçe, who was also the victim's partner in the brick factory in Tirana and together they had gone hunting.
Eqerem Braçe has given his testimony regarding the incident, and it is learned that there were two vehicles at the scene, the one in which the victim was traveling and another in which the people who were hunting with him were located.
According to Eqerem Braçe's testimony, a person opened fire on the vehicle the 44-year-old Italian was in. Under these conditions, Braçe got out to help his partner, and the victim's body was located a few meters away from the vehicle.
However, the veracity of his testimony remains to be verified, while after verifications conducted in the victim's vehicle, there are no bullet marks, but only a flat tire.
Meanwhile, the police have announced a search for Eqerem Braçe's son, Gazment Braçe, for questioning, as he was also at the scene.
The whole incident continues to raise many questions. Initially, it was said that the vehicle in which the victim was located was fired upon with a volley from another car, which was moving in the opposite direction. It was even said that initially shots were fired at the tires of the victim's car and then at it, causing the death of the 44-year-old Italian. It was later reported that Gament Braçe was declared wanted in connection with the incident, as a suspect, while from the latest details it results that he, together with his father, had been accompanying the Italian, despite the fact that they were driving in two cars.
The police, according to reports, have escorted several people who have been questioned, while there is still no official announcement, other than the preliminary one, which briefly stated that a lifeless body was found in the street, shot with a gun.
