The Supreme Court has upheld the decision of the Special Appeals Court for the life sentence of Xhulian Hoxha and 16 years in prison for Euglen Halili in connection with the murder of Emiljano Ramazan and Regis Runaj.
It is reported that the convicts requested the annulment of the decision issued on April 8, 2024 and appealed to the Supreme Court, but the third instance of the judiciary decided to leave the decision of the Special Appeal in force.
Emiljano Ramazani was killed on July 20, 2020 in Elbasan, while Regis Runaj was stabbed to death and his body was found on July 29 of the same year, in the "Emin Matraxhiu" neighborhood near the cemetery in Elbasan./ TCH
