A well-organized assassination attempt has shaken the media scene in Italy, a few days ago when a bomb was placed under the car of journalist and moderator of the investigative show "Report", Sigfrido Ranucci. The incident occurred around 10:00 PM in Campo Ascolano, an area between Rome and Pomezia, damaging the journalist's family vehicle and the house next door.
Regarding this event, Albanian lawyer Gentjan Alimadhi emphasized that the assassination is a very delicate matter, not excluding the possibility of the involvement of elements linked to Albanian criminal groups.
According to him, the attack can be considered a warning to investigative media and individuals who dare to denounce corruption and criminal activities.
Alimadhi added that the event can be seen as a message to those who aim to live with honor and freely express their opinion, respecting democracy and freedom of the press.
"We try to create a positive opinion of ourselves here, and we would not want, even remotely, the hand of the Albanian here or the hand of someone else led by the Albanians.
However, it is a very delicate issue. Italy goes back to the times of years ago, when the mafia eliminated journalists, and this would be an assassination attempt with the aim of warning or indeed the aim was to warn. I believe that this issue was only a warning. It cannot be ruled out that there could also be an Albanian hand, although I think that Albanian interests here are treated in a different way, through journalists by not paying them, by buying them, by firing them.
Ranuçi is a character who has decided to be on the side of the courageous minority, of those who want to live with honor and want to express that sense of democracy by expressing freedom of speech as a true expression of democracy, without fear.
So you will either threaten such a person or eliminate him, because he is very determined.
The Ranuç case is the hottest topic recently that is stirring public opinion, who have also condemned the gesture with their statements. And why say things as they are, the right or the right information, if we were to capture this aspect for the population, is always a very interpretable issue, especially in moments of international crises.
Public opinion is being kept asleep by the press and information, and normally a part of the press that belongs to the government tries not to deal with this issue much, while a part of the left tries to take advantage of this opportunity to politicize it.
