
A 35-year-old man from Kosovo, declared internationally wanted by Norwegian authorities, has been arrested for extradition purposes by the border police in Morina while attempting to enter the territory of Albania.
The 35-year-old man with the initials JK is accused by the Sør Rogaland Local Court of the criminal offenses of "Theft with violence" and "Injury". Interpol Tirana has initiated procedures in cooperation with its counterparts in Oslo to extradite the 35-year-old to Norway.
"Internationally wanted by Norwegian authorities for robbery with violence and injury, the 35-year-old was arrested by Border Police services at the entrance to the Republic of Albania.
As a result of detailed controls and verifications at entry/exit, with the objective of cracking down on illegalities at the border, as well as detaining wanted citizens who attempt to move illegally to avoid criminal liability, the Morina Border Police services, in cooperation with the Kukës Border Police, apprehended at the entrance to the Republic of Albania and arrested with the aim of extradition, the following Kosovar citizen:
JK, 35 years old, resident of Kosovo.
From the verifications carried out and from the information exchanged with Interpol Tirana, it resulted that this citizen had been declared internationally wanted by Interpol Oslo, as he is accused by the Sør Rogaland Local Court, for the criminal offenses of "Theft with violence" and "Injury".
"Interpol Tirana and Interpol Oslo will carry out the procedures for the extradition of the 35-year-old to Norway," the police announced.
