The Tirana Prosecution Office has launched investigations regarding the physical violence inflicted on Petrit Çakri, an event that occurred on June 15th in the premises of the Special Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SCOC).
According to sources, the case is being investigated for criminal offenses of intimidation and violence against a witness, as well as for resisting police officers.
As part of the investigation, the investigative group has seized audio recordings of the session and video footage of the incident. Meanwhile, Petrit Çakrit himself is expected to be questioned, as he received medical assistance immediately after being physically assaulted in the courtroom by the three Bushgjoka brothers, who are co-arrested with him.
The arrested are suspected of being the perpetrators of the murder of young Renis Dobra. According to the investigation, on July 8, 2025, Dobra was kidnapped, drowned and then thrown together with his vehicle into Lake Shkopet. Preliminary suspicions are that the incident is related to the disruption of drug deals.
Following the crime, police arrested three brothers from Tropoja on suspicion of involvement in the incident. According to investigators, Petrit Çakrit, who was arrested a few days after the incident, was also part of the organization of the kidnapping and murder.
