Yesterday evening, a 40-year-old man died as a result of an accident that happened near the Leshnica bridge in Pogradec.
The driver of the vehicle who hit the 40-year-old man to death, left the scene, but today it was possible to identify and capture him.
It is reported that 38-year-old Gentian Capo was arrested in the village of Gështenjas in Pogradec.
"The police identified and arrested the driver of the vehicle that hit a 40-year-old man near the Leshnica bridge to death on Friday evening.
Sources say that the driver of the vehicle was 38-year-old Gentian Capo, while he was caught in the village of Gështenjas in Pogradec and was taken to the police station for further action.
From the investigations it turned out that he was the person who hit the pedestrian to death and left the scene in a "Volkswagen" type vehicle. Currently, the investigation group is following other actions related to this event", the police informs.
