Police have discovered a criminal group base in Shkodra.
The owner of the apartment that was turned over to criminal groups, Çezarin Jaku, a citizen with a criminal record, has been arrested.
'A base was discovered in the village of Rrencë where 11 pistols, a detonator cap with a fuse, around 2,000 cartridges of various calibers, 2 bulletproof vests and 1 silencer were kept on behalf of criminal groups.
The owner of the apartment returned to the criminal group (citizen with a criminal record) is arrested and put in handcuffs.
Following operations against illegal possession of weapons and as a result of the work of police intelligence, the Shkodra Police Commissariat finalized the police operation "Gunpowder".
As part of this operation, a criminal base was discovered in the village of Rrencë.
Also, the owner of the apartment used for criminal activities, citizen Ç. J., 61 years old, with a record for illegal possession of weapons, was arrested in flagrante delicto.
During the search, the following items were found in the apartment: 11 pistols, a detonator cap with a fuse, around 2,000 cartridges of various calibers, 2 bulletproof vests and 1 silencer.
The weapons will undergo expertise at the Institute of Scientific Police, to prove their use in criminal events.
Also, under the direction of the Shkodra Prosecutor's Office, an investigation is being conducted to identify and bring to criminal responsibility all citizens implicated in this case.
The procedural materials were referred to the Shkodra Prosecutor's Office for further action,' the police announced.
