
The well-known operator Pëllumb Kallfa has passed away. He died at the age of 77, but left behind many stories. Pëllumb Kallfa is one of the iconic operators of the former Kinostudio "New Albania", as he has helped in the realization of many well-known films.

He was born in Tirana on August 28, 1945. He is the son of the well-known photographer Mehmet Kallfes, who influenced his passion for cinema as one of the first employees at Kinostudio.
After graduating from the University of Tirana, the Faculty of History and Philology, he became a cameraman at Kinostudio and very soon began to shoot many newsreels, chronicle films and documentaries, of the latter over 25 of them.
It starts in 1971 with "Mes mushme mish per popullin" continuing with "Basketbollista n10" in 1972, "Tourist Albania" (1972); "Using Nuclear Radiation" (1973); "The Life of Monuments" (1975); "Our ensemble in Italy" (1979);
The skills expressed in the variety of shots, in the figurative composition, in the rhythm, the dynamics, as well as the quality of the image, makes him take on independent work in the genre of feature film, initially with the films named as documentaries "ABC...ZH" ( 1971) and "Cuca e malese" (co-operator with Dh. Anagnostin), but considered as artistic films in terms of the treatment method and the general presence of fiction elements, ideographic overlays and subject lines.
