Renowned choreographer Gazmend Golemi has passed away at the age of 63.
The news was announced by his son through a post on social media. According to the family's announcement, Golemi passed away this morning in a hospital in Florence, Italy, after a serious illness.
Gazmend Golemi began his artistic career at the age of 6, taking to the stage for the first time as a young dancer. From that moment on, dance became an inseparable part of his life, transforming him into one of the most recognized figures in Albanian choreography.
Golemi has directed and created dozens of dance groups, which have been awarded prizes and recognition both at home and abroad. His contribution to Albanian culture and the promotion of the dance tradition has left an indelible mark.
