Fatmir Mediu, leader of the Republican Party, an ally of the DP, speaking about the May 11 elections, where there is still no reaction from the US regarding the process and the result, said that the 'DP-ASHM' coalition has forwarded a report to American institutions on the issues. Mediu said that the opposition stated that "we have forwarded a report to the US, we will enrich this report, we hope that the final OSCE/ODIHR report will be realistic, despite the pressures of Edi Rama".
As for Europe, Mediu said that today Europe needs a success story and seeks to realize this success story with its expansion into the Western Balkans.
"France does not accept EU enlargement, while Macron says in Tirana that it can be done before 2030. So we have an unusual behavior, when on the one hand a country is against enlargement and on the other hand the President of that country talks about enlargement. We also have the German Chancellor, Friedrich Merz, who has not said a single word about EU enlargement, and he is even skeptical," said Mediu.
Mediu considers the congratulations that European leaders have given to Edi Rama as the winner of the elections as reactions that came while they were not informed about what happened with the elections in Albania.
