The leader of the Opportunity Party, Agron Shehaj, in a reaction on social networks, says that the majority's draft law on the transfer of ownership of Albanian agricultural land to foreign citizens is another mechanism by Prime Minister Edi Rama to steal the land of Albanian citizens.
The head of Mundësia emphasizes that through this draft law, public lands that should be returned to Albanians will be allocated to Rama's partners, his friends, oligarchs or even offshore companies.
"As of today, state-owned agricultural land cannot be sold to foreign citizens or foreign companies. By removing this restriction, this could happen."
And this is not done because Edi Rama will attract foreign investors nor because he will approximate Albanian legislation to that of the EU.
"But he does it because he wants to share Albanian agricultural land with his partners, with his oligarchs, often hidden behind offshore companies," says Shehaj.
Shehaj further emphasizes that this will not happen because Albanian citizens will not allow the next theft.
"Because Albanian citizens showed that they know how to react. And they will not allow the next theft. The protest continues, Edi Rama must resign also for this scandalous bill through which he will steal from the poorest people in Europe," he said.
