Criminal amnesty, Manja does not withdraw: The convicts do not benefit from

Justice Minister Ulsi Manja said that the majority has not withdrawn from the Criminal Amnesty.

In a statement to the media after the International Conference organized today on Accountability and the Fight Against Corruption, he stated that no person who has been convicted by the Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime will benefit from Amnesty.

"All these days, the opposition has been talking about Amnesty, and when you listen to only one side, it seems as if the majority withdrew from Amnesty for the criminal offenses of corruption tried by GJKKO. "Amnesty that will have no no no, but no reduction of the sentence for those who have been convicted of corruption and crime organized by GJKKO", said Manja.

During his speech, Minister Manja said that the justice reform marked an epochal turning point for our country.

"Today we are no longer talking about a reform in the initial stages, but about a system that produces results by gradually ending impunity in Albania. We are particularly proud that a new reputation of the institutions of the justice system is being formed in Albania. The number of judges and prosecutors left is living proof of a justice that could not do justice because it was caught by corruption" , he said.

Ministers of Justice of the Western Balkans and Croatia, Heads of Anticorruption Agencies, prosecutors and international organizations participated in this conference.
