"Corruption in Albania is being fought by every means and for the first time on this scale," said Prime Minister Rama during a conversation with followers on social media.
Rama said that for the first time, people who have held political power are going and giving an account to the justice system. He said that anyone who says that this is not his and the Socialist Party's achievement is simply not telling the truth.
"Corruption in Albania is being fought more than ever before. For the first time, it is happening that people connected to political power are being summoned by prosecutors and judges independent of political power, for the first time, whoever says that this has nothing to do with me and the Socialist Party is not telling the truth, it is me and the Socialist Party who have brought this historical innovation to Albanian life, since 1912. This is the culmination of the will to fight corruption ," he said.
We recall that after the arrests, Rama attacked SPAK, but later changed course. After the polls, the prime minister saw the citizens' support for SPAK and sold the arrests as a personal achievement and that of his government.
