The arrest of the 42-year-old who injured the policeman, Balla reacts: Zero tolerance for those who endanger the lives of the officers

Interior Minister Taulant Balla has reacted after the arrest of the author of the wounding of the police officer yesterday evening in Tirana.

Balla declares that anyone who disobeys the lawful order/call of the police, or even more seriously opposes it by force, dares to insult, aggress, threaten, hit him or even endanger his life, must be clear that the tolerance will be zero.

Meanwhile, Balla has also announced new changes in the Criminal Code, asking for the support of the justice system.

It is the moment to remember who disobeys the order/lawful call of the police, or even more seriously opposes it with force, dares to insult, aggress, threaten, hit him or even endanger his life in the exercise of his duty or because of duty, it should be clear that tolerance will be ZERO.

I will do everything for a new criminal policy/practice to take place in this regard, seeking the support of the justice system. The legal framework is there in the Criminal Code (with the changes that I myself supported in the Assembly in 2019) and in the law on the State Police", declares Balla.
