The head of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Bashaka reacted to the meeting of the Laws Commission, where the head of SPAK is reporting. Basha once again requested that the Assembly include the proposals of the DP for the strengthening of SPAK, which according to him are inexplicably kept in the drawer.
The head of the DP ironically said that those who released with amnesty the corrupt persons convicted by SPAK/GJKKO are interrogating SPAK.
He said that they do nothing to help in the fight against crime and corruption, stressing that they are blocking the DP's legal initiatives to help SPAK and BKH.

They pretend to demand a speedy investigation into corruption by SPAK, but they put their heads under the tables for the DP's initiative to remove immunity. Because they want to give the corrupt people time to leave, as they did with Arben Ahmetaj.
The PD stands firmly in support of SPAK and BKH through its proposals and amendments. Only in this way will the truth of those who really want justice and the hypocrites of the 34-year-old politics who hide behind their fingers and at the first moment do everything to sabotage the work of justice, be revealed," declared Basha.
One of the members of this commission is the former minister and socialist MP Olta Xhaçka, who is second in line from the side of the socialists.
SPAK is investigating the case of Xhaçka's husband, former Socialist MP Artan Gaçi, who was declared a strategic investor to build the "Dreamades Luxury Suites" resort in the village of Gjileke in Himara. However, the property where the resort was to be built turned out to have forged papers and it has all been seized by SPAK.
