The head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, ironized the absence of Democratic Party deputies in this Thursday's plenary session.
From the Parliament podium, Balla said that the reasons for the opposition's boycott are still unknown, but added with irony that the Democrats may have been scared by the egg incidents recorded in the previous session.
"We still don't know the reasons why the DP, sorry, boycotted this session, but I really hope it will be in the following sessions. They got to the point where they were even scared of eggs," declared Balla.
He emphasized that no one can pressure the Assembly or MPs to not exercise their mandate.
"Whoever thinks they can put pressure on MPs to exercise their duties in accordance with the Constitution is very wrong. Not today, but every day this Assembly will continue to exercise the mandate that the Albanian citizens have entrusted to us," said the head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group.
