The Minister of the Interior Taulant Balla, in his speech at the interpellation called by MP Ervin Salianji, said that today Albania is one of the safest countries for tourists.
He further spoke about the fight against organized crime, where he announced the arrest of two well-known crime figures in Italy and Spain, where their extradition is expected.
"I have the honor of being the Minister of the Interior for 300 days. The most widespread news today is our certification as a safe tourist destination, the country's image of the past has been cleared once and for all.
The first word tourists say is that they like safety. We are talking about tourists from countries with high security. They are tourists who feel safe in our country.
The fight against organized crime is a priority of this government. Two underworld figures have just been arrested and will be extradited from Italy and Spain. 2023 marks the year with the lowest homicide rates in 30 years," he said.
