The former democratic candidate for the Municipality of Tirana in the local elections of May 14, Roland Bejko, expressed to him that he has the ambition to be a deputy in the Parliament of Albania, implying that he does not aim for the position of the chairman of the Democratic Party.
He announced this himself this evening in the "Free Zone".
Asked who he would prefer between Lulzim Basha and Gazment Bardhi at the head of the DP, Bejko said that he is waiting for the candidates to be announced and to hear their programs.
"In fact, none of them has announced their candidacy. I will wait for the candidates to be announced and then I will decide. After I really hear which of the candidates will have their platform closest to my ideas and my vision that I have for the new Democratic Party. No, I'm not running.
I ran for Tirana because I had three reasons. No, I do not hide my ambition, I had it and I have it to be in the parliament. Sarkozy says, to become a party leader or head of state, you need a long time to prepare. I miss the network within the Democratic Party, valuable to become a party leader", said Bejko.
