The leader of the Euro-Atlantic Deputies, Lulzim Basha, stated that Sali Berisha has nothing more to give to the Democratic Party and the Democrats.
In his argument, Basha, while calling for a vote for the number four party he represents in the elections, said that whoever votes for the DP on May 11th, votes for Ilir Meta and the old political scum.
"Let's not hold the Democrats in a corner and tell them the truth as it is. Berisha no longer serves the DP and has nothing to give the Democrats. This is the moment for them to wake up and get closer to the Euro-Atlantic Coalition, because here they will not find people who have raised cards to release the corrupt and close the lists. The DP is no longer what everyone wants. Voting for the DP now means voting for Ilir Meta, corrupt and arrested. It means voting for Jozefina Topalli, who in 2021 united the votes with Edi Rama in Shkodra. A vote for Sali Berisha is a vote for Meta and the corruption rackets. The only vote is for the Euro-Atlantic Coalition and the number four," Basha said on Report TV.
In the end, Basha said that the US has not given up on Albania and its support for the fight against organized crime, corruption and the Special Prosecution Office.
While summarizing his cooperation with international partners both when he was in office as a minister and in opposition, he added that international assistance would continue.
"The US supports the fight against corruption and organized crime, their current silence due to the current transition should not be underestimated," Basha said.
