The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of being the architect of corruption in Albania and for this he should resign.
"I appreciate the work you have done with the voters, but I guarantee you that the anger of the citizens is reaching uncontrollable proportions. There is an internal spiritual revolt among ordinary people who see that even the hope they had in justice for the punishment of corruption was extinguished. They understood that the cause, the author, the architect of the corruption system in Albania is named Edi Rama," Berisha said.
Berisha warned Rama that if he goes to the Council of Europe, Albanians will welcome him with protests.
"There is no place for those who behave as if they were the son of Enver Hoxha there and the chances are minimal, to say the least, however, if he intends to go to that headquarters, the Albanians of France and Germany will be before him. Yes, one of the most powerful protests will be organized because he deserves it. Now, you have seen, deputies with criminal mandates, delinquents, passing like hyenas from one hall to another saying that this is how he blackens Albania, because I tell the truth and protect the dignity of Albanians who have nothing to do with these thieves. While they protect their crimes", said Berisha at the group meeting.
We recall that shortly before the DP parliamentary group meeting began, the meeting of the Special Commission on Territorial Reform took place, where the Democratic MPs did not participate.
On this issue, the majority has warned that it will apply unblocking mechanisms, referring to the SP's request to change the wording of the functioning of special committees.
