DP MP Besart Xhaferri spoke about the opposition's plan, emphasizing that the aim is continuous protests against Edi Rama, up to the siege of the Prime Minister's Office, and pressure on international chancelleries to provide a solution to the political crisis.
"We believe a lot in protests, we also believe a lot in the format of continuous protests which should bring the siege of that Prime Minister's Office and the pressure to the international chancelleries to provide a solution to the Albanian political crisis. Because Albanian politics today is like that carpet that every filth is hidden under and it is still not felt what is happening and we now have to take the filth out of this government and the international chancelleries so that a political solution can come here and be made ," the MP told "A2 Cnn".
Regarding participation in the protest called by Adriatik Lapaj, Xhaferri said that he coordinated with the leader of the DP.
"We received an invitation from 'Albania Behet' to the DP to participate in that protest, not at a political level, nor to give a speech. I and a group of young people decided to go, after coordinating with the party chairman. It is a signal that the DP has no complex about supporting the protests that are against Edi Rama and not against the opposition. The DP has no complex. There is nothing outside the party line, I was coordinated with the DP chairman. It is political coordination. To give a signal that the DP has no complex about supporting the protests against Rama," Xharerri said.
The MP considered it immediate and vital for the opposition to unite in protests, which should not be considered a union of political forces or a coalition.
"That the Albanian opposition needs to unite protests is immediate and vital, and the first step, the first signal, is up to the largest party to show. There is a movement of negotiations in the opposition, also with the group of teachers and intellectuals, led by Hasimja. There is a movement to coordinate the protests. Not a union of political forces, not an ideological union, not a political coalition, not an electoral coalition, it is just a cooperation to unite the protests in 2-3 concrete things that the Albanian opposition must take at any price. The desire exists to unite the protests ," he said.
