The head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, requested a 15-minute break in order to discuss with his colleagues how they will proceed with the plenary session where the heads of justice institutions are expected to report.
Regarding this request by Balla, who gave the opposition two options, either to accept the fact that the questions to Altin Dumani and other heads of justice institutions should be submitted in writing, or otherwise they will continue with the voting process, Berisha stated that this is unacceptable and that the socialists "did not benefit" from their reporting.
Berisha emphasized that in recent years, the practice of oral question-and-answer has been implemented.
"Taulant Begojaris finally took off his mask and told the Albanians that he would meet with the two group leaders, to whom he offered as an alternative either to agree to give up oral questions, or to vote without reading the reports and questions of the heads of justice institutions. This proposal includes the scenario of shutting down the parliament. There is no opposition in the world that could agree to make such a bargain.
If you want to put the key to the decision tomorrow, the opposition does not give up its constitutional right to ask questions, which is absolutely in every parliamentary hall in the world, both orally and in writing.
In 2023-24-25, all the questions were oral. Before, there were no justice institutions like there are today. They seek to make an interpretation as it suits them because they are in a criminal relationship with those who have come to report.
"They have no interest in reporting. I believe it is clear, but you cannot impose it on the opposition," said Berisha, while further attacking Minister Toni Gogu, who according to the former Prime Minister is also "Nesti Angoni", the person who reported Erion Veliaj to SPAK.
