Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha came out this evening at the window to speak to his supporters, who as usual gathered below the palace. Berisha is under house arrest and for several days has decided not to implement the restriction to not have contact with people outside the family.
In his speech today, he described himself as Batman, who comes to the aid of the citizens.
Berisha: Every young Albanian has the right to think, to dream, for Tirana to be the nest of his future.
But how much can young Albanians dream of today?
To come to Tirana, he must be educated. Edi Rama has set the average as a tool to close the doors to universities for the poorest in this country.
How much can young Albanians build the nest of the future in Albania, when in the universities of Tirana, they pay a fee among the highest in Europe. They charge a fee 5 times higher than in Austria. 5 times higher than in France, Italy, Germany.
How can Tirana be the place of dreams for young Albanians, when rents in this capital, thanks to drugs and corruption, are among the highest in Europe?
How can this be the dream city of young people, when they have to work for 60 years to buy an apartment?
For all this, the aggression of the narco-state, of the narco-dictatorship, of this gang led by Edi Rama, who steals from Albanians every day, has made Albania empty of young people. It has caused over 500 thousand young people to leave this country in 8 years.
It has caused Albanian youth to have nothing else to connect them with Albania except their parents, who with all the longing, with all the worry, turn their hearts to stone and tell them go girl, go boy, follow your life because they know they have nothing to provide them in their home.
Therefore, this battle is first of all a battle for the youth.
I listen and they write to me that you are Sali, you are hope. The truth is different. The truth is that for young people, I am not their hero, but I am just like the signal in the Batman movie that calls the heroes from the sky.
And I am convinced that those heroes are the sons and daughters of Albania, they are the ones who engaged in this decisive battle, engaged in this battle for hope, for the future, will turn it around, will make this wind of change and hope to blow throughout Albania and the opposition, democracy to be restored again.
I invite you to close this meeting with our chant: God bless the young Albanians, their families, God bless Albania.
Long live you, long live PD, long live Albania!
