Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, who has been under house arrest since December 30, 2023, has commented on the impact that the election of Donald Trump as president of the United States of America may have on Albania.
Invited to a direct link on the show "Now" on "Euronews Albania", among other things, Berisha said that the Democratic Party will make a request to the Venice Commission to completely reconsider the reform of justice in Albania, so that according to him "you the fatherland is put to an end".
" The Democratic Party is planning, without question, to engage the Venice Commission for a comprehensive review of this country, which ultimately denied Albanian citizens the right to a fair and proper legal process.
It destroyed legal security, the main pillar of the rule of law, and created the most political monstrosity in the same indictment as it existed during the dictatorship ," said Berisha.
