"Braho must reach Duman's levels", Alibeaj: The corrupt in the

Enkelejd Alibeaj spoke about the challenges of the new head of SPAK, Klodian Braho. He listed the advantages and disadvantages of Braho at the head of SPAK, at a time when, according to him, Altin Dumani has raised the investigations to a high level, hitting the untouchables.

"The stakes for the one who takes office, Dumani, are high because the investigative processes this time have reached levels that were unimaginable a few years ago, breaking the inviolability of the top. The great political dome, adored and accustomed by Albanian society to a new balance between powers, has now been broken. This 3-year-old who passed and got his license plate, was Dumani and this is a disadvantage for Braho," Alibeaj said for "A2 CNN".

He expects the new head of SPAK to create his own institutional identity, not by personalizing power, but by furthering the fight against corruption in the governmental and political dome.

"It would be unjustifiable in my eyes if it continues at least at the Dumani level. It would be considered a failure. A higher level is needed, the Braho identity will have to be created, not to personalize power, but what has remained unstruck by the high government dome must be exhausted.

The speed of the investigation will have to receive another impulse and above all I hope that at the end of these three years that are coming for the fourth time, we will no longer consider the new head of SPAK for the fourth mandate as a big event, that there will be no public curiosity, but that it will be a common thing that the entire SPAK mechanism, BKH, will be something that coexists with politics. Politics will accept that SPAK is there and strong and will no longer play with power , "said Alibeaj.

According to him, the continuous political attacks on SPAK show that the heads of corruption are still on the defensive, both in the government and in the opposition.

"From what we have seen in these 3 years that we have spent, the heads of the corruption cadre are on the defensive both in the government and in the opposition. Look at the successive and systematic attacks ," emphasized the former Minister of Justice.

Alibeaj also said that the participation of ambassadors in today's meeting of the High Prosecutorial Council is proof that Albanian justice is strongly supported by internationals, who, according to him, are a key factor in strengthening the justice institutions in the country.

"What has pushed this success story forward was the number of ambassadors sitting today at the meeting of the High Prosecutorial Council. We Albanians have not managed to set an example that we have state-building capabilities; today it is necessary for the judiciary to have the support of internationals," said Alibeaj.
