The deputy of the Democratic Party, Dashnor Sula, says that while AZHBR funds are wasted, agriculture in Albania is going downhill.
According to him, last year agriculture remained stagnant, as the country's economy grew by 4.86% and that livestock has the same fate.
"Agriculture is going downhill, as a result of the misuse of AZHBR funds. The sector that generates the most jobs in Albania is heading towards the "downhill".
-According to the latest INSTAT Report in the third quarter of this year, production in the agricultural sector decreased by 0.4%, this was the biggest drop since the fourth quarter of 2021 where bad weather damaged the season's production. So we are going through the negative results of the years that have had natural disasters.
Last year, agriculture remained stagnant, as the country's economy grew by 4.86%.
Livestock has the same fate. The number of livestock heads has decreased by 20 percent in the last two years. It is intolerable that with all these climatic possibilities, the relief, Albania is in these standards.
Yes What does this show?!
Besides the fact that we have a government that does not care about ordinary working people and does not stimulate honest work, the results confirm the theft and misuse of AZHBR funds.
This downward trend shows how AZHBR funds are either stolen or wasted or given inefficiently. Let the justice find this out.
Little, but it is certain that the IPARD program has not achieved its objective.
We are the only country in the Region with a low level of agricultural support for agriculture, which at the same time is the sector with the largest weight in GDP with about 19% of it.
In countries such as Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia and Serbia, the share of direct payments to farms reaches 70-80% of agricultural budgets, most of which is related to livestock production or the use of inputs.
Meanwhile, we in Albania spend more than 70% of the agricultural budget on operational expenses of the bureaucratic apparatus and only a small part on direct support to farmers.
That's why Albania is emptying every day. Because agriculture in our country is a sector that cannot generate its own expenses and is not attractive to young people, while in the EU countries farmers and farmers are rich layers", writes Sula.
