The Albanian Government is waiting for authorization from the President of the Republic to continue the process with Greece on the issue of the sea.
Foreign Minister Igli Hasani, at the press conference with journalists, answered the question about the stage of the negotiations with Greece.
"The commitment is maximum but the attitudes are clear, Greece is an important neighbor of Albania, a member country of the EU and is a neighbor with special contributions and merits. For this, we have full, maximum commitment, both in relation to official Athens and in relation to Brussels. I am in constant contact with the President of the Republic.
I look forward to hearing from him if he needs more information. I know there was written communication a few months ago.
I have expressed my readiness for us to feed him with more information or ideas regarding the decision he should take to empower us by giving the mandate to clearly start a negotiation", said Foreign Minister Igli Hasani.
Both Albania and Greece have declared that they will resolve the issue of the sea between them at the Hague Court.
