Politician Dashamir Shehi, commenting on political developments within the Socialist Party, stated that Ben Blushi was the only one who faced Prime Minister Edi Rama with dignity, while regarding other figures within the SP, he said that they did not have the same stance.
"The last dissident of the Socialist Party was Ben Blushi," Shehi said, among other things.
Speaking about the protest of recent days, Shehi assessed that this movement should be organized and transformed into a political formation. According to him, if this happens, it can secure up to a third of the votes. On the contrary, if it continues in its current form, it risks fading and dying out.
Further, Shehi stated that all opposition parties, including those led by Agron Shehaj, Arlind Qori, Adriatik Lapaj and other forces that consider themselves opposition, should unite with the protesters' "New Albania" party. According to him, only such a union can give them political strength, while isolated ones risk being politically annihilated.
Asked if Prime Minister Edi Rama could resign, Shehi stated emphatically that such a thing will not happen.
