Debate at the Investigative Commission, Vokshi: Let Beqaj open the black box

The chairwoman of the Commission, Albana Vokshi, has asked the socialists to let former minister Ilir Beqaj open the black box.

The Investigative Commission for Health started again this afternoon, where the testimony of the former minister Ilir Beqaj is expected, who, from 10:00, is in the premises of the Presidency of the Assembly.

"The court knew your situation and knew that someone like Mr. Ndreca would come and make these plans at night. You left Ilir Beqaj without opening the black box. You are not letting him open the black box, let him open it", said Vokshi.

She accused the socialists of putting on a show and having prepared a script to prevent the testimony of former minister Ilir Beqaj.

"Your movement is completely legible, you took him out with handcuffs just to make a show while you don't want to follow him, you don't want to take the testimony, you want to erase the thefts. We don't want to leave time for Vilma Nushi and Edi Rama to be called. This is a prepared scenario, I thought you wouldn't go so far as to bring him in handcuffs, make a show. You have put him in a deadlock, they are not interested in clarifying this, they are interested in hiding the payments for incomplete analyses, for sets that should have cost 4 euros and cost 400 euros. I want to appeal to him to make the preliminary statement, to make available to us the presentation that Beqaj has, to make a contextual and concise statement so that I can continue with my questions" , said Vokshi.

Democratic deputy Edmond Spaho also accused the majority of obstructing the work of the investigative commission, while speaking of major irregularities for Check Up.

"Your position is clear and now he understands why you don't want either Vilma Nushi or Rama to come and testify. There are major irregularities regarding Check Up, he continued to receive payment for tests not performed, he took 8 million euros from Albanian citizens, Vilma Nushi took them and you don't want us to ask Vilma Nushi and Edi Rama. With a letter from the ministry, you have extended the Check Up for another year and a half and now you are asking to renew it for another 10 years. I wanted to ask Beqaj how it is possible that the shareholders gave him 40 percent of the shares. He doesn't just have those shares, he has the mouse part because someone else has the lion's part. But where are these investors who give you 40 percent. You did not want this commission to function from the beginning,"  said Spaho.
