The head of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party, Gazment Bardhi, has reacted to the discussions on the budget for 2025, describing it as a budget that goes to corruption projects.
Bardhi writes that the government continues and pays money from the Budget for corrupt health contracts, while citizens face the lack of medicines in hospitals.
He says that Albania has lost 12 years with empty promises.
"Albanians continue to:
- They pay money from the Budget for incinerators, but they have "run away in an unknown direction", incinerators that either do not work or do not exist.
- They pay money from the Budget for corrupt health contracts, but the citizens do not have medicines and services in hospitals.
- They pay money from the Budget for double the cost for road investments that are never completed, meanwhile we have no funds to support the agricultural sector or to carry out investments that help agriculture.
Corruption in central and local government is the only reason why citizens do not receive services, why there is no increase in pensions or funds to support families in need, why there is no real support for farmers and agriculture. 12 years lost with empty promises is a lot of time lost for Albania and Albanians", said Bardhi.
