President Bajram Begaj has reacted on the International Holocaust Remembrance Day where millions of Jews were exterminated by the Nazis led by Adolf Hitler in Germany.
Begaj writes that on this day we must reflect on the millions of people persecuted and disappeared, and he expressed pride for the Albanian people for sheltering Jews during the persecution by the Nazis.

Six million Jews are thought to have been exterminated by Nazi Germany during World War II.
A small minority managed to find salvation in Albania.
