The chairman of the Agrarian Environmentalist Party, Agron Duka, has outlined his party's strategy in the upcoming local elections, leaving open the possibility of running in Durrës.
Duka stated that the party he leads may field its candidates in some municipalities, in case the opposition candidates fail to establish trust among citizens.
"I can run in Durrës. I perceive that I have a positive sensitivity from the people," he said, while also mentioning Kukës and Kurbin as areas where, according to him, the party has strong political figures.
Duka emphasized that it is not about personal or ultimate positions towards the opposition, but about supporting candidates who have integrity and the potential to win. "If a person with integrity emerges from the opposition who gives hope that he can be won, we will withdraw and support him. But if the candidates emerge in vain, we will emerge with our candidates ," he declared.
The PAA leader added that even if they do not achieve victory, running on their own will serve the party to increase its electoral weight.
With a touch of humor, Agron Duka said that he only sees his personal candidacy possible in Durrës.
"In other cities, I don't think anyone would choose me," he said, laughing on News 24.
