After the debate in the Parliament on the price of oil, SP MP Erion Braçe approached where Sali Berisha's leader was sitting.
At that moment, Berisha showed him something on his tablet, while the replies between them continued outside the podium, in a direct discussion about hydrocarbon prices in the country.
The debate between them has focused on fuel prices and the hydrocarbon market in Albania.
Erion Braçe said on the podium that the high price of oil does not come from the government, but from the war situation in the Middle East.
He underlined that the normative act on national tax and excise has no impact since the main weight has been held by the Transparency Board.
Brace said he has reservations about transparency as it hides the market model.
"High oil prices are related to the situation in a region of the world that is also among the most productive. The prices did not come from the government, but they came high due to a situation in an oil-producing region, with an impact all over the world. The act has no impact, it was used from April 3-8 and April 8-9 and the effect was 37 million lek. The one that has had the most significant impact has been the Transparency Board and has done a commendable job in terms of determining prices. The frequency of the Board's meetings and the review of hydrocarbon prices has allowed us to have better price control, even though they remain high. What I have reservations about the Board is related to transparency. The lack of transparency hides the market model we have, a broker who supplies oil within the territory of the Republic of Albania, deposits the oil in deposits and this amount of oil has an oil price from the day it leaves to go to the pump. In this scheme, there is also a repayment, and money that is given with interest, "The money available to buy this amount of oil. The broker often also plays the role of a bank, which is not allowed," said Braçe.
