The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, has reacted to the extradition of two Albanians from Greece and Italy who were part of criminal groups.
Through a post on social networks, Balla says that cooperation with Interpol continues every day to find internationally wanted persons.
"The excellent cooperation with Interpol continues every day to find persons wanted internationally by justice, to put an end to impunity. "Congratulations, Interpol Tirana, in cooperation with partner units in Italy and Greece, located, detained and today extradited to Albania two people, members of criminal groups involved in international drug trafficking", writes minister Balla.
32-year-old Gjergji Luli, accused of being a member of a structured criminal group active in the field of narcotics, was extradited from Italy. This citizen is suspected of having sold a quantity of the narcotic substance cocaine to 2 other Albanian citizens, who then trafficked and sold the narcotic substance in Italy.
Meanwhile, a 48-year-old Arben Cufe was extradited from Greece, accused of organizing the trafficking of a quantity of the narcotic substance cannabis, in Greece.
