Rama said that the establishment of the Task Force by SPAK is an interference in the freedoms and political rights of Albanians and their representatives.
Prime Minister Rama has continued his attacks on the Special Anti-Corruption Structure. While SPAK has announced the establishment of special structures to investigate electoral crimes, Prime Minister Rama has reacted by saying that political parties are being monitored in an electoral process.
He has opposed the establishment of a new Task Force by SPAK to investigate electoral crimes. According to Rama, parties cannot be monitored in an electoral process, while adding that he hopes that this is a momentary aberration and not real.
"There is no other alternative than an independent judiciary that respects human rights. We must all fight together to consolidate it. There are many positive things, but also many negative ones. Even one case where a person's life is destroyed due to professional stupidity is too many. Access by the former state security cannot be allowed.
"We must definitely be determined, the administration cannot be pressured, political parties cannot be monitored in the electoral process. I believe that it is a mistake of the moment and to immediately stop the surveillance on the ground. We cannot return to a dark period. Investigations for electoral crimes, each in their own position. We cannot get out of the trenches," said Rama.
Earlier, the Special Prosecution Office also published a strategic plan to establish offices in the regions and pursue issues related to possible electoral crimes during the May 11 elections.
